HOP Telecom inc. launched airHOP (later renamed to air-LINX) in 2002 as the first locally owned high-speed internet service provider (ISP) in Greencastle Indiana, Our wireless high-speed internet network provides service in Greencastle and the surrounding area's of Putnam and Montgomery counties in Indiana. Unfortunately, there are many Internet users that attempt to comprimise other people's machines either by scanning or probing groups of computers to see if those machines are vulnerable. The airHOP Firewall prevents these types of network attacks by blocking probes or scans of our network that are initiated on the Internet.
